Agape Flights invites one and all to its annual 2023 open hanger event on March 4 from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. This year’s theme, “A Pilot’s View,” highlights the company's ministry from the perspective of its flight crews who make weekly trips to the Bahamas, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
In addition to plenty of pizza and pie (the dessert kind), this popular (700 people last year) event features a flight simulator, a fun zone, and a silent auction with a chance to win a coastal flight in Agape’s new Cessna F406.
Visitors can also get up close and personal with the Cessna and Agape’s Embraer 110 aircraft, including having a photograph taken in the pilot’s seat, says development director Tim Kenney.
Kenney explains that the event builds community awareness of Agape's mission, and helps to raise money for the ongoing operations of Agape Flights. “Mission aviation is an expensive undertaking. Our donors have been extremely generous for 42 years."
