Ancient Wisdom

Integrative treatments such as acupuncture are finally being recognized and accepted by the traditional medical world

What is the biggest misconception about Eastern medicine?

The World Health Association has designated many pain conditions that acupuncture is a good treatment for, so many expect pain is the only condition acupuncture can help with.

The truth is, Chinese Medicine is a complete medical system that has been treating many ailments for well over 1,000 years.

What types of things will acupuncture help with?

Some things  I have seen in private practice include overcoming anxiety, acute injuries, labor induction, improving sleep, reducing Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, relieving cough, reducing stress, and encouraging wound healing.

We create a suction within a container and attach the container to the body. The suction draws tissues into the center of the cup while creating compression on the rim of the cup. This difference in pressures encourages "toxins" to migrate into more superficial tissues, where they can be drawn away and disposed of.

What is energy healing?
