Since 2013, Carpet Cleanse has put the customer experience first. The company’s journey from a small startup to a leading name locally in carpet cleaning demonstrates founder Jason Meysenburg’s commitment to his clients.
The Genesis
Jason's venture into the world of carpet cleaning was inspired by his nine-year tenure in the restoration industry, where his passion for exceptional customer service was sparked. A native of Salina, KS, and an alumnus of Washburn University, Jason's journey is not just a business venture but a personal one as well. Carpet Cleanse spun off from his father-in-law’s restoration business. This July, Jason and his wife Beth will celebrate their 20th anniversary!
Initial Challenges
The initial challenge for Carpet Cleanse was maintaining steady business throughout the year. While property management companies kept the company busy from May to August during the moving periods for K-State students, the company experienced lowered demand off-season. However, Jason quickly realized that his focus on the customer experience was paying dividends in the form of repeat business. “We figured out that if we took care of people, they would take care of us, and we no longer really have a down season.”
Benefits of Carpet Cleaning
Professional carpet cleaning is not just about aesthetics. Removing pollutants like dust, pet dander, and allergens improves indoor air quality and extends the life of carpets by preventing the breakdown of fibers caused by dirt accumulation. This process can also eliminate stains, mold, dust mites, and bedbugs. Moreover, it can address unpleasant odors, especially from pets, creating a fresher ambiance. Regular professional cleaning also maintains a carpet's original color and texture. Overall, a clean carpet looks better, feels softer, and contributes to a more inviting environment.
Cleaning Process
Jason's team has refined a comprehensive 12-point cleaning protocol. This begins with a thorough inspection and vacuuming to prepare the carpet. Small furniture is moved for unobstructed cleaning, and a spray and targeted spot treatments are applied to tackle stubborn stains. The carpet is then groomed, which loosens and lifts trapped dirt, pet hair, and debris, then it is deep cleaned using a truck-mounted hot water extraction system. After soil extraction, carpets are pH balanced to prevent any residue and maintain fabric integrity. The procedure concludes with post-spot treatments, grooming for optimal drying, and speed drying with high-velocity air movers. The Carpet Cleanse crew then completes a final walkthrough to ensure the highest standards of customer satisfaction and cleanliness are met.
Eco-Friendly Practices
In an industry often criticized for its chemical and water usage, Carpet Cleanse stands out by prioritizing green products and practices. Listening to customer concerns has been pivotal in providing services that not only clean but also ensure the safety and comfort of their homes.
Staying Ahead Of the Curve
Since its founding, Carpet Cleanse has embraced technological advancements, including cutting-edge scheduling software and cleaning equipment. This forward-thinking approach has kept them at the forefront of the industry, offering efficient and effective cleaning solutions.
Employee Training
Jason places a high value on customer service and communication skills in his team. "We can train someone to be a really good cleaner. The biggest focus for me is finding people who are customer service oriented with communication skills."
Vision for the Future
In addition to its Manhattan base, the Carpet Cleanse has broadened its reach to include Salina, Jason's hometown. Looking forward, the company aims to expand its reach by adding locations and potentially developing a licensed franchise model. This ambition reflects Jason's confidence in the company's business model and his commitment to spreading their exceptional service standards.
Values
Jason approaches his work with profound dedication and professionalism. Carpet Cleanse has built a reputation for trustworthiness and excellence, and he encourages potential clients to read the reviews from customers who have invited the company into their homes. “Jump online and see what real customers are saying about us. Talk to people who have used our services. We take the invitation into your home very seriously.”
