Inspired by multiple experiences watching pronghorns in Grand Teton National Park, these incredibly fast animals are also strikingly beautiful in shape and color. With both tan and white patches accentuating their muscular forms, artists alike are mesmerized when glimpses of these animals can be captured.
Edward Aldrich, known as "Ned," is an artist working in oil paints who constantly strives to create art that speaks to the wonder of the natural world. He is dedicated to reaching beyond the rendering of wildlife and the natural world; his belief is that conveying the inherent being of an animal is integral to his art. His precise brush technique, sense of light, and composition draw the viewer into a scene, breathe life into his subjects and convey a feeling of actually being there.
For over 30 years, Edward Aldrich has painted primarily in oil and travels the world to view, sketch and photograph his subjects. As an accomplished painter, Aldrich has received numerous awards, and his work has been presented in shows throughout the country. His dynamic images are exhibited in seven galleries in the United States. One of those galleries, Life in the West Art Gallery, is right here in Broomfield.
