In 43 years being in the real estate business I have personally experienced 5 significant "shifts" in the market. We are in one now. Right now, is still a great time to buy as rates are still relatively low, in the 5's. Compare that to 1981 when I was selling homes with interest rates at 17.5%. Also, it is still a great time to sell because inventory is at all-time lows which translates to sellers being able to still command top dollar for their homes. But be careful, have no illusions about this market. It is changing and where it's going is a mystery.
