The VIP event on Friday features talks by weavers, Native music, hors d’oeuvres, and beverages. Tickets are $50 at the door or online at https://hollandcenter.org, including a raffle ticket for a chance to win a handwoven rug. It also includes raffle tickets for a chance to win several rugs.
The Featured Weaver is Nellie Curley, renowned for incorporating cultural teachings into her rugs. Through her weavings, Nellie tells the Creation Story and showcases Navajo ceremonies. Attendees can purchase several of her rugs at the Show and enjoy weaving demonstrations and meet other artisans.
The Holland Community Center continues its partnership with the Adopt-A-Native-Elder Program. Last year's show welcomed over 1,200 attendees, matching successful shows in other states.
