This fashion-forward boutique sells beautiful clothing, jewelry, and accessories that are always on-trend & affordable, with something to suit women of all ages and sizes.
Customers ranging from 20 to 90-somethings flock to shop a wide selection of dresses, pants, shirts, shorts, jackets, and activewear. Accessory options include socks, belts, jewelry, lotions, candles, bags, hair accessories, and more.
Located on iconic Main Street in Yorba Linda, Chic Revelations is owned by fashionistas Maria Teixeira and Karen Goodsell.
What started as a “pop-up” mobile fashion boutique soon became a regular fixture after a highly successful pop-up experience at nearby shop Gracious Living.
“We thought a month-long pop-up for the holidays would be fun, so we leased a space. After a very positive response from not only shoppers but local merchants, we decided Old Town Yorba Linda needed a brick-and-mortar ladies’ boutique. That one month turned into three, which became a permanent spot!” recalls Karen.
As friends who met at church and had many mutual acquaintances, Karen and Maria quickly built a bond that led to the birth of Chic Revelations.
“After lots of meetings and prayer (asking God for insight, wisdom, and revelation) we formed a business partnership,” explains Maria. “Hence, our name, Chic Revelations. People have asked us why we have a prayer request jar on our checkout counter. We simply share that our business was formed through prayer, and we believe God creates miracles!”
“We also want our customers to know we care about them and want to support them in whatever may be burdening them,” she says.
The boutique business is booming, with a wide array of pieces perfect for complementing any season or occasion.
Luckily, the pleasant California climate allows for a diverse collection that works in all seasons.
“Seasonal clothes [here] aren’t the same as other places in the nation,” says Maria. “We are lucky to have great climates that cater to the layering pieces we offer—T-shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, kimonos, and jackets.”
“Occasions are an important determining factor in what we carry because ladies come in needing party dresses as well as everyday active wear. Maybe they are going to an outdoor wedding or a western-themed wine tasting—we love suiting for the occasion,” Maria says.
In addition to offering an amazing assortment of pieces to choose from, the Chic Revelations team also offers styling appointments to help customers find exactly what they’re looking for.
No matter what shopping selections clients ultimately make, what matters most to Karen and Maria is that they feel great about themselves when they wear it.
“We encourage our customers to find clothes they feel confident wearing,” says Karen.
“We believe when you are comfortable in what you are wearing, it builds confidence and makes you feel good wherever you are. We ask clients questions about what they are looking for and the occasion. From there, we’ll have them try things on that maybe they wouldn’t have ever thought they could wear or would think to put together.”
New items roll into the boutique on an almost weekly basis, with pieces purchased at various world markets and all across the United States, including Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.
Chic Revelations is also proud to spotlight local designers for an added community feel, which the duo strongly supports.
“We love bringing the community together, and giving back is something that we both love doing. We have partnered with a few organizations, and we do events to raise money and support them,” says Maria.
Chic Revelations carries clothing in sizes XS-XL, with a variety of price points to fit every budget. As Maria says, “There’s literally something for everyone. Whether it’s work or play—we love to style!”
