The vibrant destination, Streets of St. Charles, was formerly home to the once beloved Noah’s Ark Restaurant and Hotel. This St. Charles County icon attracted families from throughout the St. Louis region and many recall their famous clam chowder, as well as memories of family gatherings, first dates and anniversaries. After Noah’s Ark Restaurant closed its doors in the 1990’s, the 26-acre site became a neglected eyesore along Interstate 70. In 2007, Cullinan Properties purchased the property with big plans to create an entirely new destination in St. Charles County
Construction began on the first building at Streets of St. Charles in 2011, and the development continues to blossom nine years later. The property was designed around wanting to create a sense of community. The town center atmosphere brings those who live, work and visit the property together for dining, shopping, entertainment and events. Streets of St. Charles has become a destination development with its unique mix of national and local businesses. With P.F. Chang’s and Firebirds to Prasino and Mission Taco, there is something for everyone. Tru by Hilton and Drury Plaza, both on site, make it easy to spend a weekend getaway at Streets of St. Charles, with amenities just steps from your door and Historic Main Street only a short walk away. Whether you’re looking for a great cup of coffee, a new outfit, a tasty meal, massage or even some fun for the kids, you’ll find that and more at Streets of St. Charles.
As Streets of St. Charles has grown, so has its robust event calendar. The Beale Street Concert Series, going into its 7th season, is the premier event at the development. Each of the six monthly concerts features a different local band and many music genres. This event has become a community favorite for locals and people from throughout Metro St. Louis, bringing friends and family together to listen to great music, and sample the diverse selection of food and beverages provided by Streets restaurants. If music isn’t your thing, then come for Yoga on Beale, Beale Street Market or Ladies Night Out, all part of the exciting events taking place at the property! Check out these events and more at StreetsofSt.Charles.com.
While the COVID-19 outbreak has curtailed the hustle and bustle that is normally found at Streets of St. Charles, Streets businesses continue to be creative about how they can serve the public. Nearly all of Streets’ restaurants are open for carry-out, curbside or delivery service. Olivino is operating with reduced hours and curbside pick-up to provide the essentials for your at-home cooking, and Play Street Museum is offering children’s activities for curbside pick-up to keep the little ones busy. The support in return from the community has been wonderful. Streets of St. Charles looks forward to kicking off the event season in June. Until then, stay safe and healthy!
