The White Hare is the inspiration of the mother-daughter team of Mary Kay Carapella and Sarah Corrigan.
The original store opened in 2003 providing the St. Charles County area with unique home decor and gifts. In 2005, they expanded to a store twice the size and would do that again in 2011 and finally, in 2017, moving to 1010 Miralago Way in Cottleville, Mo.
"Our motivation for the store was based on a combination of things,” says Sarah.
“Having been a real estate agent for more than 20 years, Mom noticed many homes she was showing were in desperate need of new decor, and that was something she could help with. Growing up, we enjoyed shopping together in decor stores, always saying how fun it would be to own one. When I graduated from college, I was doing murals and faux finishes, and the time seemed right to open that 'fun store,' and the rest is history."
Customers will find excellent customer service at The White Hare, to help them in decorating, selecting custom furniture or gift giving. In addition, they offer custom floral design and affordable in-home accessory service…as well as boutique clothing, jewelry and accessories.
“We are always looking for unique merchandise and ideas to share with our customers,” says Sarah. “Our emphasis is on customer service and we hope every client leaves the store with a positive experience!”
