In the wake of a life-altering pandemic, many Americans are searching for a better way to approach their health and wellness. Prioritizing their personal and familial needs can feel overwhelming in a world of large healthcare corporations and a variety of obstacles for patients. For Sheree Montoya, those needs are what brought her practice to a rising place in Greeley’s healthcare market.
“During the pandemic, there were a lot of people searching for primary care providers that weren’t able to be seen for weeks,” Montoya shared. “It gave us the opportunity to start fresh and see brand new patients, even if they were struggling with the effects of COVID-19.”
Sheree was born and raised in Greeley until job opportunities in the medical field would bring her and her family down to Denver to work in healthcare. Starting as a nurse for a large healthcare system, she would eventually work her way up to becoming the Director of a Level 1 Trauma Center. When further advancement opportunities offered her a chance to move into the administrative role, she declined, insisting that she would rather stay by the bedside of patients and offer them comfort and personalized care.
“I wanted an opportunity to spend time with patients, and build a personal connection with the people I was serving,” Sheree admitted when talking about what drew her back to Greeley. “I realized I didn’t want to stay in the giant corporate healthcare system and move up the administrative ladder - I wanted to be able to be with people.”
It was that commitment to personalized, high-quality patient care that allowed Sheree Montoya to move back up to Greeley. Shortly after, her team would open NOCO Healthcare Clinic in April 2021, now located in downtown Greeley off of 10th and 35th Avenue. In addition to providing routine primary care and physicals for patients of all shapes and sizes, NOCO Healthcare also delves into the realm of newer advancements in wellness and patient care. One of these practices is through the administration of IV Therapy, an up-and-coming and integrative approach to personal wellness and wholeness.
“Our goal is to become more proactive, rather than reactive, to people’s health and well-being using techniques like IV Therapy,” shares Montoya. “If we can provide people with an opportunity to stay healthy and avoid visits to the ER, then we’re accomplishing our goals.”
IV Therapy has become somewhat of a recent phenomenon in the healthcare realm in America, allowing patients to explore meeting a variety of needs and medical treatments through the administration of an IV, rather than through a pill or other form of medication. During the pandemic, it proved particularly useful in providing monochlonal antibodies - man-made proteins that stimulate the immune system - for people struggling with the symptoms and effects of COVID-19. Now, in addition to increasing prevention during cold and flu season, IV therapy can also be used in high blood pressure and diabetes care; aid athletes in their recovery processes; and can be used to provide energy and promote overall wellness in all forms of patients.
In addition to IV Therapy, NOCO Healthcare Clinic also provides specialized care for joint injections and hormone therapy, both of which are advantageous in promoting sustainable health and wellness for individuals in the Northern Colorado area. But it isn’t just about providing healthcare services for the community, either. Montoya shared that her team has been excited to partner with local organizations and give back to the Greeley community in other ways as well.
“Right now we are working with sponsoring a Give Tree to support kids in our community and to provide gifts this holiday season,” she shared. “We have also taken part regularly in Weld County Diaper Bank’s Diaper Handout, and have sent a variety of teams out into the community to participate in other acts of service.”
Whether the serving opportunity is medical or focused on the community, Sheree and her team will always pride themselves on offering convenient, affordable, and trustworthy healthcare to support Northern Coloradans - a value they affirm on their website. Rather than rely on the marketing afforded by larger healthcare corporations, she believes that her quality of care and the word-of-mouth of her patients will continue to provide further opportunities for NOCO Healthcare Clinic to grow.
“We do what we do because we enjoy taking care of others,” Montaya remarks. “We’re available all the time, and offer the convenience of scheduling recurring, same-day appointments for the benefit of our patients.”
Providing high-quality and personalized care to residents in Northern Colorado allows Sheree Montoya and her NOCO Healthcare team to back up their passion for better healthcare.
5 Ways IV Therapy is Changing the Scene:
-
Provides proactive protection against colds, the flu, and other respiratory illnesses
-
Allows for 100% absorption of vitamins, nutrients, and minerals directly into the body
-
Allows for outpatient visits for illnesses/treatments, rather than ER visits
-
Provides the convenience of treatment with a simple process and monthly appointments
-
Gives extremely individualized treatment - there is no "one-size-fits-all" method for IV Therapy (for anyone struggling with illnesses, mental health, recovering athletes. etc.)
