No time or budget to go to Walt Disney World in Florida? That's okay. Children can now have a Disney experience right here in Grosse Pointe.
The Lon Next Door Salon & Spa and Part of Your World Princess Co. have teamed up to bring together spa experiences and beloved princesses for a memorable party or event. For birthdays and other special private occasions, a princess of the child's choice visits anywhere from two to four hours, and during that time, the guest of honor and her friends are given the royal treatment.
"We perform services like manicures, hair braiding, glitterlites, face painting, and facial classes," says The Lon owner Betsy Rossman. She also has different princesses come in for other special spa events such as Halloween celebrations, Winter Wonderland festivities, and customer appreciation days.
"We recommend Princess parties for ages 3 to 6, but truly all ages can take part and enjoy the magic!," says Sofia Kirkman, owner of Part of Your World Princess Co. "Each child gets to take part in our individual coronation ceremony (including a tiara keepsake to take home) as well as interactive story times, Princess lessons, individual photo opportunities, and Pixie Dust Wishes."
There are ten different Princesses from which to choose – Elsa and Anna are the most requested - as well as a few non-Princess characters like Barbie.
"Most parents can dabble in their own self-care services while their kids are enjoying themselves," says Betsy.
"This is the kind of experience you can't get anywhere outside of the Disney parks, and we are so glad to be able to bring this special memory to families right here in Grosse Pointe," says Sofia.
